The data controller for this website is the operator of the King of AEO project, Vithurs, reachable at hello@kingofaeo2026.com. Where UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 apply to the limited processing described below, the controller is the same person.

Directly, nothing. There is no form, no login, no comment system, no newsletter sign-up and no shopping basket on this site. No field on this website asks for a name, an email address or any other personal detail.

Indirectly, the hosting provider keeps standard server logs in the ordinary course of serving a website. Those logs typically contain the IP address making the request, the URL requested, the date and time, the HTTP status returned, and the user-agent string sent by the browser or crawler. This is the same technical record every web server keeps, and it is used only to serve pages, keep the site available and investigate abuse or errors.

This site sets no cookies. It uses no local storage, no session storage and no device fingerprinting. Because nothing is stored on your device, there is no cookie banner and nothing to consent to.

There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom and no analytics of any other kind. There are no advertising or conversion pixels, no social media buttons and no chat widgets.

Every asset needed to render this site is served from this domain. There are no web fonts loaded from a font service, no scripts loaded from a content delivery network and no images loaded from anywhere else. Visiting a page here does not cause your browser to contact any other company.

Outbound links to other websites, including the project-owned domains in the King of AEO network, are ordinary links. Following one takes you to that site, where that site’s own privacy policy applies.

The limited processing of server-log data rests on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR: keeping the website available, secure and functioning correctly. Retention is determined by the hosting provider’s standard log-retention period; the project does not export, enrich, sell or share those logs, and does not use them to build a profile of any visitor.

If you email the project, your email and its contents are kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter and to maintain a record of any correction that resulted. Correspondence is not added to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you, to ask for it to be corrected or erased, to object to processing, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In practice this site holds almost nothing about any individual visitor, but requests are welcomed and answered.

This site is a reference and journal about search technology. It is not directed at children and it knowingly collects no data from anyone, of any age.

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. Because the site is static and deliberately free of tracking, material changes are unlikely.
